Stitching Fancy Prairie Points from Quilting Solutions

Time has usurped my sewing options.  I had a wonderful week with a daughter and two of her adult children.  One was to be Assistant Director at a local camp.  Sadly, camp was cancelled the day before she was to report.  The rest of the family had departed so she is now spending a mountain summer here in my sewing room.  However, that could never stop a lifetime sew-er like me.  I just moved on to a different part of my quilt.  I still need to do some fusing and quilting before I am ready to bind, but it is ...

Prairie Points & Mug/Rug Swap from caledonia quilter

This is another one of those quilts where I hoped the maker would not come and pick it up after quilting.  Sadly, that didn't happen and it has gone back home.  The name of the block is Granny's Stars.

Prairie Points are definitely a challenge.  Once it's loaded on the longarm, flip the points OUT, baste one inch inside the base of the points, and leave the basting in.  Don't quilt anything beyond that - the maker will be turning the backing under and needs that space to work in.

Inspiration in everything! from Creating Chaos

I'm often asked what inspires my work.  Well, how long have you got?

There really isn't an easy answer to this as I'm inspired by so many things.  Sometimes I get so much inspiration from one thing that it leads to a series of work.  This was so when I began to see rusty objects over and over again and the more I saw, the more I noticed rust in many other places.   This overload of inspiration lead to two series - Corrosion, which was inspired by the rust itself, and Oxidisation, which used fabric and threads dyed ...
